It is the first Oggy series to be produced in 4K.
Known to viewers as the ‘Home of the new Oggy’, Cartoon Network then snapped up Season 5 at the Asian TV Forum last year and is slated for broadcast in early 2017. The strong partnership between Xilam and Turner has seen the slapstick comedy series steadily build its popularity since 2013, when Cartoon Network picked up Season 4, which became one of the channel’s highest rating series. The series in 4K will be available across Turner’s channels, including Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Pogo. Turner has acquired the additional seasons for its ratings-winner series from Xilam, the animation production company. Turner Asia Pacific will bring newer seasons of the popular animated series Oggy and the Cockroaches (Seasons 6 and 7) to Asia in 2017.
